Meet the Host: Jennifer Estelle and the Gut Decision That Sparked Endless Mountains Vineyards

When people visit Endless Mountains Vineyards, they often see the rolling hills, the river views, and the peaceful quiet of rural Pennsylvania. What they don’t see right away is the leap of faith that brought me here. I didn’t grow up in agriculture, and I certainly didn’t plan on owning a vineyard. What I did have was a gut feeling that this land was meant for something more, and that I was meant to build it. I bought the vineyard first and learned the grapes later, and that decision has shaped everything that Endless Mountains Vineyards has become.

In the beginning, I thought I understood what it meant to run a vineyard. I quickly learned that viticulture is its own world, one that demands patience, humility, and a willingness to learn from the land every single day. Over four seasons, I went from asking “How hard can it be?” to developing a deep respect for pruning schedules, harvest timing, fermentation choices, and the delicate balance between sugars and acids. Weather patterns shift every year, and no two growing seasons behave the same. I learned firsthand that Mother Nature is in charge, and the best thing I can do is listen. That lesson has shaped not only how I grow grapes, but how I run this entire business.

Pennsylvania wine is often underestimated, but I’ve seen what this region can produce when the vines are cared for with intention. Our Cab Franc, our white blends featuring Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Traminette, and the Riesling vines we’ve planted for future releases all reflect the character of this place. Small batch winemaking allows me to stay hands-on, make thoughtful decisions, and create wines that feel honest and expressive. I’m not chasing scale. I’m building something rooted in connection.

That sense of connection is what turned this vineyard into something larger than a tasting room. I wanted to create a place where people could slow down, breathe, and feel grounded. That vision grew into a destination for intimate gatherings, vineyard experiences, educational workshops, and wellness sessions like yoga and qi gong. Every event is designed to feel personal, intentional, and connected to the landscape. I’ve learned that when you give people space to be present, they open up, they talk, and they leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.

The heart of this work is the B and Let Liv Project, the nonprofit I founded to bridge human wellness and animal welfare. My focus is on pit bull type dogs, who are often misunderstood and overlooked. Rescue work is not glamorous. It’s emotional, unpredictable, and full of hard decisions. But it’s also deeply rewarding. Fostering keeps dogs out of shelters and gives them time to decompress. Supporting adopters after placement helps families navigate training, vet care, and the unexpected challenges that come with bringing a new dog home. That post-adoption support is where many rescues fall short, and it’s where I feel we can make the biggest difference.

My long-term vision includes dog-friendly cabins and glamping sites where each stay directly supports a foster dog. Imagine a weekend getaway that helps move a dog closer to a forever home. That’s the kind of impact I want this vineyard to have. Hospitality and advocacy can coexist, and when they do, they create something powerful.

Endless Mountains Vineyards is more than a business to me. It’s a mission, a community space, and a reminder that sometimes the best decisions come from trusting your instincts. When craft and purpose come together, people don’t just visit. They become part of the story.
